Hello everyone! Thank you for following me and supporting me along this journey. Today I met the people I will be biking with, they were super nice. I was a little nervous but I am very encouraged by all the wonderful stories. The ages range from 16 years old to 56 years old. We introduced ourselves and talked about how we got intrested in IJM and heard of this ride for the first couple of hours. We are about to eat dinner nad I am hungry. Later when I am done we are going to talk to the youth of this church and talk about what we are doing and why we are doing it for. One of the people that is going to be sttaying with us for a few days (we will meet her again in D C is) Karen Barnes she a maneger at IJM. If you have any questions about this organization please send me an email to [email protected] and I will ask her. Please don't hesitate. Also feel free to comment on the posts. Thanks again for all your prayers, Kathy! (P. S. I will try to blog a little bit more later today. I will also try to put photos on tomorrow if possible.)

Hello Everyone! Today was a good day no chain broke off there were no strange people. Today I biked 40 miles! I left home at around 8:45 before the sun got too hot. I biked in the area around Anchor Park and Northshore which is between the Cove and Kroger. Please keep me in your prayers! Thank you

Today I went biking around 10:30 am and biked for about 3 1/2 hours.  I was able to bike a total of 30 miles. It was 95 degrees outside today. When I was about to go up a hill about 7 miles into the ride the chain for my bike popped out (when a bike chain pops ,no matter how hard you peddle you wont go anywhere).  I was unable to unlock my shoes from the bike (with biking shoes there is a piece of metal called a cleats that locks into certain pedals, but in order to get it out you have turn your shoes a certain way.) I spent about 15 min. trying to get that chain to go where it was supposed to and my hands were so black with the grease of the chain. I had to walk about 5 min to the closest public bathroom to be able to wash my hands. When I finally got there I stopped to park the bike and in the distance there were 2 guys that thought it was hilarious that I had quit. They kept saying "It was just to hot for that girl so she decided to stop and take a breeze". But to sum up my day it was a little adventure: the chain, black greasy hands and it was super hot, but every time I feel like giving up or it begins to get hard I remember that this is not for me but for the girls that are enslaved and being abused.  Thanks for all your support and may God bless you!

Hello everyone! Today I was able to bike 22 miles. We started at West Bicycles close to fresh market. I got there around 7:15 am to be able to bike with them starting at 7:30. There were about 60-70 people there. I stayed with a group of about 5-7 women who were tri athletes. It took us a little less than 2 hours to bike 22 miles. :) Thank you and God bless!

Today I biked with Knox Revolution for 20 miles starting on Watt road. There were about 6-7 people today biking with me. My average for today was about 13-14 mph. The fastest that I went today was 32.9mph which just happened to be going down hill. It took us a little less than 2 hours to finish. Tomorrow I will begin biking at 7:30 am and I will bike 20-60 miles ranging on different factors. Thanks!
